We are a Brazilian workplace-safety startup using computer vision, at prototype stage and opening our pilot program.

Manifesto

Why Vigiles exists.

We started with the numbers. Between 2021 and 2025, 394 people died in grain silos and storage structures in Brazil, according to a Labor Inspection survey. More than 90% of these accidents could have been avoided by following the regulations.

The rules exist. What is missing is someone checking, at every entry, at any hour, including when no supervisor is around. That is where Vigiles came from: an eye that does not get distracted, does not tire and does not blink.

Our goal is simple: everyone who enters a silo comes home.

The name

Vigiles: the watchmen of Rome.

In Ancient Rome, the vigiles were the city's watchmen: they patrolled the streets at night to protect the population from fires and other dangers.

We chose the name because the mission is the same in a different setting: to watch, without rest, the places where carelessness costs a life.
